Sail away to this port of call on Lakeshore Drive in Fennville, Michigan—neighboring Saugatuck and Douglas, Michigan. Stay directly on Lake Michigan, with commanding views of breathtaking sunsets, and soaring Eagles (a nest is nearby!). Here, in addition to stunning sunsets, you’ll discover calming lake breezes, surprising displays of nature, and a short drive to all the amenities in the surrounding vacation community.

This four bedroom/four-bath, nautically-themed cottage offers a King Size bed and Murphy bed in the Primary ensuite-bedroom upstairs. The second level has two additional bedrooms both with Queen beds and a shared bathroom. A separate wing houses a loft bedroom with Queen bed and trundle bed. The entire family compound sleeps 12.

The kitchen is fully equipped and features two dishwashers (entertain much? ;). The dining area offers plenty of room to enjoy activities with friends and family. The adjacent sitting area includes a large screen TV. The Great Room boasts a wet bar, full bath, and stunning lake views. The home is equipped with high-speed internet.

The umbrella patio table and hammocks will draw you outside to enjoy the Lake Michigan views. The descending steps will take you to water level for glorious sunbathing and sunset viewing. The home has 100’ of private lake shore. In short, our outdoor area takes full advantage of the views: A lakeside deck, 8-person hot tub, and lakeside Firepit. S’mores anyone?

Finally, hop in the car and make the short, 6-minute jaunt to either Douglas or Saugatuck where you’ll get to experience best of The Art Coast of Michigan!

Recently featured in TimeOut Chicago’s “Best of” series, this amazing oasis accommodates up to 12, has a private pool, hot tub, and basketball court. A mile from downtown Saugatuck.

It’s not everyday you find a place with its own crest but it’s a clear indication that everything about this contemporary lodge is meant to create a (high) standard of fun and relaxation. It is the ultimate summer getaway and a place with great memories waiting to be made.

Contemporary Lodge

Tucked in its own enclave of lofty greenery the dark shake siding exterior is accented with coral red shutters. Inside– the lodge theme really takes shape when you see the vaulted living room and towering stone hearth fireplace. Contemporary accents depicting woodland creatures contribute to the theme that is lighthearted and welcoming.

The kitchen is outfitted with vintage-look lemonade yellow appliances and offers enough room for meal preparation. The long dining table offers plenty of seating and views of the pool, which “wets” the appetite- not for food but for a dip!

The Backyard

The natural feel of the landscaping and inclusion of tall skinny pines create a private wooded setting that will draw and keep you outdoors. Numerous places to lounge throughout the backyard make it easy to find a quiet spot by yourself or gather with family and friends for barbequing, games and drinks. Enjoy a cool breeze on the screened porch during the day and find yourself around the fire pit in the evening. Make sure to experience the hot tub and did we mention the pool?

You can also walk to Silver Lake for great views of the Kalamazoo River byways and put in your own watercraft. There is also a basketball hoop with roughly a quarter court perfect for H-O-R-S-E or 3-on-3.

Sleeping

The main floor primary bedroom has a king bed, pull out sofa bed, and en-suite bathroom with a stand in shower. The screen porch is also accessible from the master bedroom. The guest bedroom has a number of sleeping options with a queen bed and queen-stacked bunk beds. The adjacent hallway bathroom has a shower and tub. The upstairs offers a secondary suite. This room has a queen bedroom, en suite bathroom with stand in shower and a walkout balcony with views of the wooded backyard and pool. Café seating makes it a perfect spot for quiet reading and morning coffee. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV with cable. In total, our home can accommodate up to 12 guests.

CEDAR SHORES of Douglas Beach- FAMILY COMPOUND- Douglas, MI

Our property- comprised of a main house and an adjacent guest house- is located between Kalamazoo Lake & Lake Michigan. Both houses accommodate up to 13 people. You can hear the roar of Lake Michigan because it’s only short walk away. Oval Beach is an easy drive/bike 1.5mi ride. The downtowns of Douglas & Saugatuck are under 2mi. Extended stays are welcome. Strong Wi-Fi (for work/school) & our cook’s kitchen will make your escape to a place you’ll never want to leave. The Main Cottage sleeps 9- with 2 full bathrooms, and the Guest cottage sleeps 4, with its own bathroom and kitchen.
